AT&T Wireless Broadband provides unlimited cellular data through compatible mobile hotspot or router equipment. The plans are based on a maximum speed tier, not a monthly data bucket.

Start Here: What Will Wireless Broadband Actually Cost?

There are three numbers worth separating: the normal plan charge, the price after the standard AutoPay/paperless-billing discount, and the current price when the qualifying $20/month business wireless bundle discount also applies.

*Current bundle offer: eligible AT&T Business wireless customers can currently receive an additional $20/month discount on qualifying AT&T Wireless Broadband service. The discount starts within approximately two bills after qualification. The eligible wireless service and Wireless Broadband service must remain active and in good standing. Current offer requirements should be checked before ordering.
The $50 / $60 / $80 prices are not the normal standalone rates. They assume both the $5 AutoPay/paperless-billing discount and the current $20/month eligible-business-wireless bundle discount. If the bundle discount no longer applies, the service moves back to the applicable non-bundled rate.

How the Three Wireless Broadband Plans Work

All three plans include unlimited domestic data with no data-overage charges. The difference is the maximum data speed allowed by the plan.

Standard

Up to 25 Mbps

Entry-level speed tier for lighter business connectivity, backup use, point-of-sale, basic cloud applications and similar needs.

Advanced

Up to 50 Mbps

Middle tier for businesses that need more bandwidth for multiple users, cloud applications or more demanding backup connectivity.

Premium

Up to 100 Mbps

Highest current plan speed tier for compatible equipment and locations where the network and device can support it.

All Three Plans

Unlimited Data — No Overage Charges

There is no monthly data bucket to exceed, but AT&T may temporarily slow data when the network is busy and actual speeds are not guaranteed.

“Up to” is a maximum, not a promise. A Premium line does not guarantee 100 Mbps. Actual performance can be lower because of signal strength, tower capacity, congestion, terrain, building materials, weather, device capability and other network conditions.

Device & Coverage Requirements

Wireless Broadband is a data-only service. The plan does not include the hotspot or router itself. A compatible business mobile hotspot/router device is required.

Requirement What It Means
Standard — 25 Mbps Compatible qualifying mobile hotspot/router equipment and sufficient AT&T cellular coverage are required.
Advanced — 50 Mbps Requires a device with a Category 18 or higher modem and use where enhanced LTE-Advanced or 5G/5G+ service is available.
Premium — 100 Mbps Requires a device with a Category 18 or higher modem and use where enhanced LTE-Advanced or 5G/5G+ service is available.
Indoor use The location needs sufficient in-building cellular coverage. Outdoor coverage at an address does not guarantee strong indoor performance.
5G does not override the plan speed cap. A 5G-capable device on Standard is still capped at the Standard plan's maximum speed. Advanced and Premium also remain subject to their own maximum plan speeds.

Can provide a business connection when fiber, cable or another wired option is delayed or unavailable and cellular coverage is sufficient.

Unlike Internet Air for Business, Wireless Broadband is built around compatible mobile hotspot/router equipment rather than one fixed service address.

Important Restrictions Customers Should Know

  • Business/government CRU lines only: a qualifying AT&T Business wireless agreement is required.
  • Domestic use only: Wireless Broadband does not permit international roaming.
  • No consumer-entertainment use: the plans are not intended for consumer entertainment applications or continuous video streaming.
  • No web hosting: do not use the connection to host public-facing web services.
  • No public or guest Wi-Fi: the plans are not intended to provide open public/guest Wi-Fi.
  • Video Management applies: video is normally managed at standard definition unless the setting is changed where available.
  • No additional CRU service discount: the plans are not eligible for CRU service discounts described in the Business Agreement.
  • Activation/upgrade fee: up to $50 per line may apply, plus taxes, AT&T fees, device payments and other applicable charges.
No overage charge does not mean unrestricted use. The service is unlimited from a data-bucket standpoint, but the plan still has business-use restrictions, maximum speed tiers and network-management rules.

What This Page Is Trying to Prevent

  • Seeing “$50/month” and assuming that is the normal standalone Standard rate.
  • Buying Premium and assuming a 5G device will always run at 100 Mbps.
  • Using an incompatible router that cannot support the Advanced or Premium speed tier.
  • Choosing Wireless Broadband for a fixed location without comparing Internet Air or Fiber.
  • Assuming unlimited data means unlimited entertainment streaming, guest Wi-Fi or web-hosting use.
  • Assuming a Foundation Account CRU service discount automatically lowers these plan charges.
