Mobile Select: Pooled Data Plans Explained in Plain English
AT&T Business Mobile Select is different from an unlimited smartphone plan. Each eligible line contributes a set amount of data to a shared pool, and eligible lines in that same pool can use the combined data during the bill cycle.

Start Here: How Mobile Select Pooled Data Works
Think of the plan as a shared bucket. A smartphone on a 3GB plan contributes 3GB to the pool. Another smartphone on a 10GB plan contributes 10GB. A qualifying data-only device might contribute another amount. The eligible lines in the same pool then draw from the combined total.
When Mobile Select Can Make Sense
Light or Controlled Data Users
Employees who mainly use calls, texts, email, maps and basic business apps may not need an unlimited smartphone plan.
One Shared Pool
A pooled setup can work when some users consume less data and others consume more, as long as total usage remains within the pool.
Eligible Tablets & Computing Devices
Mobile Select also has data-only options for eligible tablets, laptops, aircards, netbooks, mobile hotspot devices and select other equipment.
Special Low-Cost Device Lines
Certain connected devices and wearables can be included in the pool even though those lines do not contribute their own monthly data allowance.

Why the Same Smartphone Plan Can Cost $25 More
Mobile Select smartphone pricing changes based on how the phone is purchased. A smartphone on installment, purchased at full price, brought to AT&T, or on a month-to-month term receives the lower pricing shown above.
A smartphone placed on a service commitment costs $25 more per month for the same Mobile Select data amount.

Foundation Account & Contract Discounts
Some business accounts have Foundation Account or contract-level service discounts that can reduce eligible Mobile Select charges. The discount is account-specific, so two companies using the same Mobile Select plan may not have the same final bill.
Some lower-priced plan charges may not qualify for certain business-agreement service discounts. Account-specific contract terms control.
