AT&T Business Mobile Select Plans

Updated: July 7th, 2026

AT&T Business Mobile Select Plans are pooled data plans for eligible business wireless devices. They may fit companies that do not need unlimited smartphone data on every line, but still want a structured business wireless plan.

Pooled Data Smartphones Tablets Mobile Hotspots Connected Devices Account Discounts

Mobile Select can be used for certain smartphones, feature phones, data-only devices, connected devices, and wearables. The right setup depends on the device type, data usage, contract terms, foundation account profile discounts, and current AT&T Business plan availability.

Simple summary: Mobile Select gives eligible lines a set data amount, and the unused data can help balance usage across other eligible lines in the same pooled data group.

What Are AT&T Business Mobile Select Plans?

AT&T Business Mobile Select plans are designed for businesses that want pooled data instead of unlimited data on every smartphone line. This can help when a business has users with predictable wireless usage.

For example, one employee may only use email, maps, calls, and light business apps. Another employee may use more data during the month. A pooled data structure can help balance light and heavy usage across eligible lines.

Who Mobile Select Plans May Fit

Light Smartphone Users

Good for employees who mostly call, text, check email, use maps, or access basic business apps.

Mixed Usage Teams

Useful when some employees use very little data and others use more, but the business does not need unlimited data for every line.

Data-Only Devices

May apply to eligible tablets, laptops, aircards, netbooks, mobile hotspot devices, and select other data-only devices.

Connected Devices

Can fit certain business devices that need wireless data without needing a full unlimited smartphone plan.

Mobile Select Plan Types

Mobile Select plans can include several types of eligible business wireless devices. The monthly price depends on the device type, selected data amount, and whether the smartphone is on installment, purchased at full price, brought over by the customer, month-to-month, or placed on a service commitment.

Device Type Common Data Options What to Know
Smartphones 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, 7GB, 10GB Best for business users who do not need unlimited smartphone data. Smartphone pricing changes if the phone is placed on a service commitment.
Data-Only Devices 100MB, 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, 7GB, 10GB May apply to eligible tablets, laptops, aircards, netbooks, mobile hotspot devices, and select other data-only devices.
Feature Phones 100MB For basic phone users who need talk, text, and limited data.
Connected Devices No monthly data allowance contribution Can include select business connected devices. These may still benefit from unused pooled data at the end of the bill cycle.
Wearables No monthly data allowance contribution May require a compatible smartphone and proper plan setup. These may still benefit from unused pooled data at the end of the bill cycle.

Example Mobile Select Monthly Pricing

The table below is a simple reference for common AT&T Business Mobile Select pooled plan pricing. Taxes, fees, device payments, promotions, and other charges are not included.

Line Type 100MB 1GB 3GB 5GB 7GB 10GB
Smartphone on installment, full price, bring your own device, or month-to-month N/A $35 $45 $55 $65 $80
Smartphone with service commitment N/A $60 $70 $80 $90 $105
Data-only device $10 $20 $40 $50 $60 $75
Feature phone $35 N/A
Connected device $5
Wearable $10

Pricing can change. Availability, eligibility, device type, account type, and contract terms should be checked before ordering or changing a business wireless plan.

Smartphone Contract Pricing Difference

Mobile Select smartphone pricing depends on how the phone is purchased.

If the smartphone is on an installment plan, purchased at full price, brought over by the customer, or month-to-month, the smartphone line receives a $25 monthly plan savings discount compared to service commitment pricing.

If the smartphone is placed on a service commitment, that $25 monthly savings does not apply. That means the smartphone line is $25 more per month.

Smartphone Data Amount Installment / Full Price / Bring Your Own / Month-to-Month With Service Commitment Monthly Difference
1GB $35 $60 +$25
3GB $45 $70 +$25
5GB $55 $80 +$25
7GB $65 $90 +$25
10GB $80 $105 +$25

Example: A 5GB Mobile Select smartphone line is $55 per month when the phone is on installment, purchased at full price, brought over by the customer, or month-to-month. The same 5GB smartphone line is $80 per month with a service commitment.

This is why the equipment purchase method matters before quoting or changing the plan.

Foundation Account and Contract Discounts May Apply

Some business customers have foundation account profile discounts that may apply to eligible Mobile Select plans. These discounts can vary by customer and may show as a percentage discount, such as 20%, 25%, or another account-specific discount.

Some customers may also have additional contract-level discounts that can affect the final monthly cost. These discounts are not the same for every business account.

Plans with a monthly service charge under $35 may not qualify for certain business agreement service discounts. This is one reason the account profile and contract should be checked before quoting final pricing.

Before changing or quoting a Mobile Select plan, contact me or work with me to review the business account, foundation account profile, contract terms, and available discounts. This helps make sure the plan is being priced correctly before any changes are made.

Mobile Select vs. AT&T Business Unlimited Your Way

Mobile Select and AT&T Business Unlimited Your Way are different plan structures. Mobile Select is built around pooled data. Unlimited Your Way is built around unlimited smartphone plan tiers.

Plan Type Best Fit Main Difference
Mobile Select Businesses with controlled or lower data usage Uses pooled data instead of unlimited smartphone data.
AT&T Business Unlimited Your Way Businesses that want unlimited smartphone data options Lets businesses choose different unlimited plan tiers by line.
Good fit: Mobile Select may work well when a business knows its users do not need unlimited data and wants a more controlled data setup.

For businesses that need unlimited smartphone data, compare Mobile Select against AT&T Business Unlimited Your Way plans before changing lines.

When Mobile Select May Not Be the Best Fit

Mobile Select may not be the right choice if most employees use heavy mobile data, stream video often, rely on mobile hotspot daily, travel internationally, or need the higher plan features available on unlimited business plans.

For businesses with heavy smartphone data needs, AT&T Business Unlimited Your Way may be the cleaner plan structure. For tablets, routers, mobile hotspots, and other non-phone devices, the account should be reviewed before choosing the plan type.

Important: Do not assume every device belongs on the same plan type. Smartphones, tablets, routers, mobile hotspots, wearables, and connected devices may each have different plan options. Some routers and wireless internet devices may require a different AT&T Business data plan.

Mobile Select Quick Summary

AT&T Business Mobile Select plans are pooled data plans for businesses that want specific data amounts by line instead of unlimited smartphone data on every line. They can be useful for companies with lighter smartphone usage, data-only devices, feature phones, wearables, and certain connected devices.

The key is matching the right plan to the right device, checking how the phone is being purchased, and reviewing the account discounts before making changes. A pooled data plan can work well when usage is predictable, but it should be compared against unlimited plans and other business data options first.
