AT&T Next Up Anytime is a program that allows eligible AT&T customers to upgrade their smartphones more frequently than traditional plans. For an additional $10 per month, you can:

  • Upgrade early: You don’t have to wait until your contract is over to get a new phone.
  • Flexible upgrades: You can upgrade up to three times per year.
  • No remaining balance: AT&T will cover the remaining balance on your installment plan when you upgrade.

Upgrade Eligibility

Want to upgrade your smartphone more frequently? With AT&T Next Up Anytime, you can! Eligible customers can upgrade at any time after making one installment plan payment and completing the Buyer Remorse Exchange (BRE) period. This period is 14 days for consumers and 30 days for Business (CRU). There’s a cap of three Anytime upgrades per rolling 12 months.

Offer Flexibility

AT&T Next Up Anytime customers who have paid at least 33% of their installment plan balance can enjoy promotional offers in the form of monthly recurring credits to offset the new installment plan charge when upgrading with an existing smartphone turn-in. These promotional credits are typically applied evenly over 36 months to align with the installment plan.

Device Turn-in and Installment Plan Required

To qualify for Next Up Anytime promotional credit offers, customers must continue with Next Up Anytime, purchase a qualifying device on an Installment Plan, and maintain a qualifying unlimited plan. An Unlimited plan is not required for Corporate Responsibility User (CRU) or FirstNet Agency or Sub Paid lines to maintain promotional credits.

Promotional Credit Requirements

Your promo credits will stop if you remove the Next Up Anytime or Unlimited rate plan*. To maintain credits, you can re-add Next Up Anytime or move back to a qualifying rate plan* through myAT&T within 30 days of initial removal.

*Only applies to consumer/signature customers. Not CRU and FirstNet Sub and Agency Paid customers do not require an unlimited plan for promotion compliance.

Turn-in Conditions

Please review the following turn-in conditions:

  • The device must be in good working condition to qualify for an upgrade.
  • The customer must be beyond the Buyers Remorse Exchange (BRE) period.
  • The customer must make at least one installment plan and one Next Up Anytime monthly payment toward the bill for an upgrade.
  • Customers are allowed up to three Next Up Anytime upgrades per rolling 12-month period.
