AT&T Warranty Device Exchange Process

AT&T Warranty Device Exchange

How do I find out if my device is covered under warranty?

Before initiating an exchange, follow these steps to confirm your device’s warranty coverage:

  1. Inspect your device: Look for any signs of physical or liquid damage, as these are typically not covered by warranty.
  2. Determine your warranty coverage period:
    • New Apple® devices: One-year warranty, or the warranty provided by Apple for replacements.
    • New non-Apple devices: One-year manufacturer warranty.
    • Replacement devices: One-year warranty from the replacement date (including Apple devices).
How to initiate a warranty device exchange:
  1. Contact AT&T to begin the process for exchanging your under-warranty device.
  2. Ensure you use a different device than the one experiencing issues for the call. Dial 800-801-1101 and, when prompted, say ‘business wireless tech support.’ Next Prompt Warranty Exchange.
  3. To file the claim, you must be an authorized person on the account and have your PIN number ready. If you can’t recall your PIN, the AT&T representative can send you a temporary PIN to a phone number on the account or to your email (if it’s on file as an authorized contact).
  4. Have the phone number of the device for which you’re making the claim and its IMEI number ready for the process.”
  5.
Returning your defective device:
  1. Your replacement device will come with return shipping materials.
  2. You have 30 days to return your defective device.
  3. Failure to return the device within the allotted timeframe will result in a charge for the full replacement value of the device.

After filing the claim with the AT&T repesentaive you will have to accept the terms of the warranty exchange at https://www.att.com/warrantyclaim. If you do not accept the terms the warranty exchange will not process.

Below is the email that AT&T sent reminding you to accept the terms. The other screen shot screen shots is the process.
