Understanding AT&T Trade-ins
When a business contacts me to process a new line or upgrade that includes a device trade-in, I will handle the trade-in process, notifying AT&T of the device being traded in, along with its IMEI.
AT&T will then expect to receive that device and will send email confirmations along with tracking information for the shipment.
This process helps expedite the application of monthly bill credits for the tradein.
AT&T specifies that bill credits might take up to 2 billing cycles to appear for the first time. Once applied, the credits will retroactively cover any previous months that did not receive the credit.

How a AT&T Business customer can track the trade-in
AT&T provides a dedicated website where business customers can track their trade-in status. This site enables AT&T Business customers to enter their email address, the phone number of the upgraded device, and the confirmation number received in previous emails.
On the far right of the page, the AT&T promotion that the trade-in qualifies for will be displayed.
If a device is received damaged, there will be notes and pictures available to show the damage. Additionally, this site offers an option to seek help if there are any questions during the process.
