Initiating a Warranty Device Exchange for Your AT&T Device

Is your AT&T device having issues?

Contact AT&T:

  • Use a different device than the one experiencing problems.
  • Call 800-801-1101.
  • When prompted, say “business wireless tech support.” when prompted again say “Representative”. You want to get an AT&T repesentaive on the phone.

2. Verify Account Information:

  • You must be an authorized person on the account to file the claim.
  • You’ll need your PIN number.
    • If you don’t remember your PIN, the representative can send a temporary one:
      • To a phone number on the account.
      • To your email address (if registered as an authorized contact).

3. Provide Device Information:

  • You’ll need:
    • The phone number of the device you’re making the claim for.
    • The device’s IMEI number.

4. Follow the Instructions:

  • The AT&T representative will guide you through the exchange process.
  • This may involve:
    • Answering additional questions about the issue.
    • Providing proof of purchase.
    • Shipping the faulty device to AT&T.

5. Receive Your New Device:

  • Once your claim is approved, you’ll receive a replacement device.
  • The process typically takes 5-7 business days.

Additional Tips:

  • Have your account information, PIN, and device information readily available before calling.
  • Be prepared to answer questions about the issue you’re experiencing.
  • Ask the representative any questions you have about the exchange process.
  • You will need to go to att.com.com/warrantyclaim to accept the terms of the claim. You will need the phone number and shipping zip code to accept the terms.

By following these steps, you can quickly and easily initiate a warranty device exchange for your AT&T device!
